According to a Google document obtained during the DOJ trials, Bing Search was quicker than Google in 2017, particularly when it came to mobile searches. The document was an internal Google document that passed through ten levels of latency.
This document was uncovered by Juan González Villa, who shared a screenshot of it on X. The document seems to have been from Google and is dated June 2017. The header at the top of the document which sums the document up was:
